Position a pin on the fixed anyil of the apparatus, as shown in Figure 33, with the wideat aurface in the
horizontal plane. Bring the movable anvil to rest against the upper surface of the pin This quiescent
position shall be taken as the datum point Apply a force to the movable anvll by any conventent method
such that the pin is strained at a rate not exceeding 10 m/min Measure the applied force when the
movement of the anvil from the datum point reache: 1.5 -01 min The test hall be made zeparately on

12.11.4 Adaptor plug pins shall have adequate strength to withstand the stresses of normal use.
12.11.4.1 For solid pins. conformity shall be checked by the following test.
