Information:
The apparatus is complied with UL 498 SD7.2 item, applied to testing the impact resistance of attachment plug, as a result of the test, there shall not be any breakage of the body or other damage that may adversely affect the function of an attachment plug.
Test Concept and Structure:
Each of the devices wired onto flexible cord is to be subjected to an impact caused by dropping a cylindrical 10 lb (4.5kg) weight, having a flat face that is 2 inches (50.8mm) in diameter from a height of 18 inches (457mm). Each assembly is to be placed on a hardwood surface in any natural testing position. A cylindrical attachment plug is to have its major axis parallel to the surface. The hardwood surface is to be a maple block approximately 1-5/8 inches(42mm) thick by 4-1/2 inches (114mm) square and is to test on a fixed surface such as concrete floor.
As a result of the test, there shall not be any breakage of the body or other damage that may adversely affect the function of an attachment plug.
The cylinder weight is controlled by electromagnet, ensure the instantaneous release and vertical drop.
The cylinder weight is dropped through a guide pipe. The height of guide pipe is same as test height.
The apparatus would be provided with firm structure, good look, easy operation, high stability.
Operation Procedures:
1.Power on the test equipment, then press “POWER” to be open.
2.Press “START” to conduct electromagnetic.
3.Stuck the cylinder weight to the electromagnet chuck.
4.Install the drop guide sleeve on the electromagnet chuck.
5.Place the oak block in the proper position and put the test sample on the center of the oak block.
6.Make sure the drop guide sleeve just perpendicular to the test sample, then the bottom end of the drop guide sleeve well touch the surface of the test sample.
7.Press “START” to cut off electromagnetic, the cylinder weight will drop on the test sample along the drop guide sleeve.
Take off the cylinder weight and drop guide sleeve, then check damage degree of the test sample
